Survivor dignity
Survivors are treated with respect and believed, and are never blamed for what happened to them.
We work with survivors and handle sensitive information. Protecting the safety, dignity and privacy of everyone we serve is at the heart of how we operate.
Our commitments
These commitments apply to our staff, volunteers, partners and anyone acting on Malaq's behalf.
Survivors are treated with respect and believed, and are never blamed for what happened to them.
Personal information is shared only with consent, or where there is a serious risk to someone's life or safety.
People decide what happens next, with clear information about their options and what each involves.
We assess the risks of every action so that our support never puts someone in greater danger.
Children and young people receive additional protection, in line with the law and child protection standards.
We collect only what we need, store it securely and delete it when it is no longer required.
Stories and images are shared only with consent, and never in a way that could identify or endanger someone.
We refer people only to services we have vetted, and only with their agreement.
Policies
Our commitments are set out in the policies below, which are available to partners and funders.
